Katee Sackhoff's (of Battlestar Galactica fame) interview with wired.com where she said she almost got Evi's role in Real Steel.

Wired.com: Or it could be like Real Steel and you could just get a robot to do it.

Sackhoff: Seriously? Did you know that it came down to me and what’s-her-name, for that film? Evangeline Lilly.

Wired.com: Really? Well, you could also have that fight.

Sackhoff: I am so much bigger than her, I could hurt her in a second. But she’s Canadian and they’re vicious sometimes. Because they’re so nice, I think they keep it all in. Those Canadians, you never know what you’re going to get.

Maybe its just me but I though that the " what’s-her-name" part was kind of a bitchy thing to say but maybe she was just joking?

Oh I adore Katee and lol she's actually just like that (so it's not specifically to Evi).
If you've seen her interviews, Katee's really just badass and a big kidder.

Also, if it really went down to her & Evi, then OMG that means Bailey is gonna be a total badass!!

No worries A lot of things get lost in translation with written interviews, they're really open to misinterpretation & I understand that if you don't know anything about that person it might sound cocky/bitchy .. Also, that last bit regarding Canadians -- Katee's best friend (Tricia Helfer) is Canadian so I don't think she meant any offense or anything.

No Evi is def more well known (No offense Katee). She has had more magazine covers, more endorsements, is covered more by the media, invited on more talkshows ect. Also people who don't watch Lost still usually know who Evi is, whereas people who don't watch BSG probably won't know who Katee is.
