Re: Real Steel First Trailer
This actually looks better than I expected. Still not my kind of genre, but I will see it for Evi. And Hugh Jackman is pretty good too, so doesn't hurt. And come on, how often am I able to see Evi from the big screen?
Thanks for the caps
I believe she will do amazing job in this one.

Can't wait to see Evi in a film!
I know she was in Afterwards and Hurt Locker, but for some reason this feels like her first movie. EXCITED!

Re: Real Steel First Trailer
this is her first blockbuster movie but Afterwards will always be her first movie

Re: Real Steel First Trailer
again a supporting role
or not. she probably has 5-10 mins on screen time. if she can't get a major role in a blockbuster she should try independent cinema or france. I think she has great potential and she can do lot better than playing a sidekick in a robot movie

I don't think it's not like she can't have bigger roles, I think she just wants to make things that feel good to her. And for whatever reason, this role offers something for her. I mean, she's really talented and beautiful, she could easily get roles from any movie, but I think she chooses the roles carefully. I think, after LOST, she's in position to do that.

exactly !!!!! and her role in real steal is more than 10 minutes
Re: Real Steel First Trailer
Having followed the movie extensively from a Hugh fan perspective, Evangeline has the 3rd most important role and most likely 3rd biggest outside of Hugh and his son in the film. Regardless of actual screentime, she is a crucial element of the film and I think much more significant than her role in "The Hurt Locker" because here she's a thread throughout.

I always knew that her role wasn't going to be as big as Hugh's or Dakota's because it is a story about a father and his son after all but her role is still big enough which is nice to know
Re: Real Steel First Trailer
yeah her role is much much important than her role on the HL.
thanks for you comment.

I can't wait to see them together on screen.
Her role is not that big, but she's on Hugh's movie that's all that matters

The workshop
After more footage of giant limbs swinging for big metal faces we pitch up with Kenton and a mystery lady in some kind of workshop.
Except – this isn’t a workshop, it’s the abandoned gym we saw earlier. Ooh! Symbolic. It also confirms that Kenton fights with more than one bot. And that we’d never buy a car from him.
Spielbergian influence?: Yes – it’s Transformers again. The gender role-reversal of hot lady mechanic was done first – and in unforgettably tight denim shorts – by Megan Fox.

Who’s that girl?
Right – now we’re going at a thousand miles an hour with more crunching metal noises than you thought it was even possible to fit into a trailer. But you were wrong.
And flashing up for a second with no background or character info is Evangeline Lilly, who we’d guess is probably the lady in the workshop from earlier, and is helping Kenton to fight with big robots in some way.
Spielbergian influence?: In as much as if we were making a film about the life of Raiders Of The Lost Ark actress Karen Allen, Lilly would play the lead – she has the same striking brunette looks and underlying strength as Spielberg’s star.
