Evangeline Lilly: I Ride Mopeds In Secret

Evangeline Lilly got security guards to sneak her out of her hotel at the Cannes Film Festival so she could ride a moped.

The actress was thrilled to attend the prestigious French event, and took one of her closest friends with her for the five-day trip. While there the women decided to have some fun, but didn’t want to get caught larking about by the paparazzi.

“I’m there with a friend who’s a complete kook and she says, ‘I want to ride mopeds,’” Evangeline recalled to the British edition of InStyle magazine. “So my security guard sneaks us out of the hotel. I’ve never driven a moped in my life. Within 30 seconds, I crash it! I go for the accelerator instead of the brake. But I get back up and we buzz around town.”

Evangelina finds attending the annual event hard as she is continually followed by photographers and fans. However, she understands it all comes with her job – especially as she loves looking out for famous people while she is there.

“I don’t really keep my eyes peeled – except over the balcony of the hotel room,” she laughed

BTW did Evi ever passed her driving test? I know she said on Ellen that she didn't pass, but that was a long time ago ..

I don't remember if she mentioned she passed the driving test. but she still has her license, I assume she hadn't eed to take another test, or have her license suspended or something.

From what i remember, i thought she said on possibly the same if not a later interview of Ellen, she hadn't passed the driving test but her instructor thought she was hot so he passed her anyway. xD
