Re: 'The Hurt Locker' [Evi's new movie]
I found this teaser/poster for the movie...it has Evi's name on it

But i wonder why they put her name on if she has such a minor role especially ahead of more well known actors such as Ralph Fiennes and Guy Pearce?

Re: 'The Hurt Locker' [Evi's new movie]
how cool!!!!
her name is there
yeah, I wonder if it's really just a small part
I don't want to keep my hopes up, though.
maybe they just put her name on there to attract her fans and Lost fans...

I know, maybe her role is not as small as we think or maybe her role is more important to the story than just an uncredited part, who knows?. I guess we will find out before September
The funny thing is i actually saw this poster months ago but i didn't think anything of it at the time because i thought it was one of those roles she had before Lost where she was a dead corspe for a second or two

Re: 'The Hurt Locker' [Evi's new movie]
Thank you again Sharon!!!!
I'm so exited about this movie, she is the only woman listed on the film poster, how great !!!
i really wonder what role she got...I just know that Charlize Theron were apparently also in negociations for this role..
But Evi got it
(even if theron turned it down or evi "won" the role, i actually don't care)

Re: 'The Hurt Locker' [Evi's new movie]
wow, if that was true maybe she did shoot her part in L.A...being the wife of an american soldier in iraq.
Because the film was shot last summer in july and august in Jordanie, so how would she have find time to go there ?
Considering that she stayed quite a time in NY,she went in Vancouver, and in Montreal and new mexico for Afterwards and in australia and new zealand at that moment and then was back shooting Lost...
kinda busy to go in Jordanie too don't you think ?

According to some Italian sites 'The Hurt Locker will have a cinematic realease on 29th August 2008.I think this is a European release date not the American/Canadian one.

Re: 'The Hurt Locker' [Evi's new movie]
'The Hurt Locker' is going to compete for the Golden Lion award at this year's Venice Film Festival
Five U.S. Films To Compete At Venice
Five U.S. films are among the 21 that will compete for the prestigious Golden Lion award at the 65th annual Venice Film Festival, the Biennale, scheduled to run from Aug. 27 to Sept. 6. At a news conference, festival organizers announced that among the films participating in the competition will be Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood; Guillermo Arriaga's The Burning Plain, starring Kim Basinger and Charlize Theron; Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker, starring Ralph Fiennes; Jonathan Demme's Rachel Getting Married, starring Anne Hathaway and Rosemarie DeWitt; and Amir Naderi's Vegas: Based on a True Story. (Little could be learned about the latter film, whose title is almost identical to Brett Ratner's Breaking Vegas: Based on a True Story, which was released earlier this year. A news story earlier this year said that Naderi was working on a film titled Digging in Vegas.) In addition, four films from Italy and four from Japan will participate in the competition. The Japanese films include Takeshi Kitano's Achilles and the Tortoise and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, from famed Japanese (hand) animator Hayao Miyazaki, about a fish who falls in love with a boy and uses magic to become human. Mamoru Oshii's The Sky Crawlers, another Japanese film entered in the competition, is also animated. The festival's opening film is the Coen brothers' Burn After Reading starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and John Malkovich.
