Woohoo!Spoilers for The Deathly Hallows ahead,so if you haven't finished yet, don't read on....
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the best book I have ever read!It's my favourite from the series.It's perfect!
Even from the first chapter, I knew this one was going to be scary, and would probably have less humour than the others.While it's true there are more deaths (Hedwig & Mad-Eye gone and I'm not even at chapter five!), it's still so funny(I burst out laughing when Fred said "He can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo").I love that every chapter was action-packed and that they all had something to do with the final outcome of the story. I also love how JKR incorporated all the best elements of the previous books and wove it into this story, which made it feel really familiar.
I have to talk about the fact that Snape's not evil!I had always figured that when Harry thought Dumbledore was begging Snape not to kill him he meant the opposite.It was really,really sad to read The Prince's Tale and figure out that he was in love with Lily all that time and she never loved him back (well, not like he wanted her to anyway).
I agree with everyone who says Snape was brave and all but it still doesn't change the fact that he was horrible to people like Neville and Hermione.I can understand why he hated Harry, because he hated his father so much before him, but there was no need to be so nasty to the others.I guess unrequited love does funny things to a person.
It was sweet though that the last thing Snape saw was Harry's eyes, which as we're always reminded were just like Lily's.
Everything to do with Dumbledore in the book was very shocking!It was great that he got some family history though, made him seem more human.At the end, when Harry was recounting to him in his potrait what had happened in the Forest, when Dumbledore cried,I felt tears welling up in my own eyes, because Dumbledore is NEVER emotional.It was really touching.
After reading The Deathly Hallows,I'm more convinced then ever that Imelda Staunton isn't right for the part of Umbridge.This book proved that Umbridge is evil, not just sanctomonius and simpering, the way she was in the OoTP movie.
The Battle at Hogwarts was just amazing!JKR had to have had the war at Hogwarts,it could never have been anywhere else.Even though it was really upsetting when Tonks,Lupin and Fred (not Fred!!)died,you didn't have that much time to dwell on it,because you were swept along right up to the final battle between Harry and Voldemort.It was so dramatic!I would have liked to have seen more of Ron and Hermione's reactions when they thought Harry died but I think they'll show that in the movie anyway.
To me, the Deathly Hallows was so perfect because of the relationship between Harry, Ron and Hermione.I love that they all compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses so well and that for Harry's last journey Ron and Hermione were with him every step of the way.
And of course,the best page had to be 502.Hermione kissed Ron!It was always bound to happen but it was still totally amazing when it finally happened!For someone like me,who's been waiting for six books for them to get their act together,it was fantastic!He had her at house-elf!
Phew,I'm exhausted after all that typing.Now it's everyone else's turn.I want loads of talking about Ron and Hermione now,y'hear?!!

)
I took a few pics and I'll probably upload them soon
