This Falukorv has a quite interesting story.
It started in a smal town called Falun during the 1700 where they had a coppermine. This coppermine had very deep tunnels, and so to pull the carts filled with copper from the bottom of the mine they used thick ropes made of hides from oxes. And the deeper the tunnels got, the more rope they needed,so they had to kill an enormous amount of oxes.
This lead to a surplus of oxmeat. So they came up with the idea of making sausages.
