'Lost' actress Evangeline Lilly doesn't worry about what she eats in the 24 hours before a red-carpet appearance as she doesn't think she would put on weight that quickly.

Evangeline Lilly eats 'whatever the hell' she wants 24 hours before a big event. The 'Lost' actress restricts her diet for a week running up to a red carpet appearance, but doesn't se the point in panicking in the last few hours hours. She explained: 'I cut sugar and alcohol a week before an event. That trims the excess three to five pounds I like to carry to be healthy. The day before, I eat whatever the hell I want. I'm not going to put on weight in 24 hours.' Evangeline, 30, admits she isn't a fan of the figure-hugging costumes she has to wear on the US TV show, but her concerns are not listened to by the costume department. She told Britain's InStyle magazine: 'I hate the tight tops I wear on 'Lost'. I've had little victories from time to time, when my character Kate has been allowed to wear something baggier. I'd say I've had a 10 to 15 per cent success rate. 'My new acid-wash jeans did not impress the 'Lost' cast. Everyone was like, 'You're wearing acid wash?' I tried to explain they're in fashion, but they just didn't get it.'

Cool article, that why i like her so much because she the total opposite to everyone else in Hollywood regarding her opinions on appearance and weight but i don't get her comment below -

Kate's tops aren't even that tight. Its not like she's been made to wear tops that are 5 sizes smaller to make her boobs look huge and spill out like the Playboy bunnies do so i don't get what all the fuss is about.

Sharon - I don't think they even MAKE sizes that small. The woman must be a freakin size 0!

I felt like such a chubmonkey next to her. But seriously, She must be obsessed with working out because, I swear she is muscle and skin. I love her outlook on it though, she's definitely one of the most healthy women of hollywood in her weight range.

I have a feeling the douchebags are gonna get ahold of this and start complaining about Evi again. I can hear them now... "SHUT UP AND WEAR SOMETHING TIGHTER" ... people piss me off.

and I don't think she makes a lot of effort to be like that. but yeah people will complaint

she is unique and in Hollywood they all should be like a damn patter.

It wouldn't surprise me if she is a size 0.Back in 05/06 she was a tiny size 2 (I remember seeing the sizes of a few of her dresses she was donating that's how I know).Plus it looks like she's lost a bit of weight since then and the size below 2 is 0.

Having said that even if she is a size zero or thereabouts she still looks healthy and a lot more healthier than most of that size.Its probably her muscle tone and build that stops her looking scrawny.

Why would the cast dislike them? From what I understand (And I know little of fashion), they can be tight or lose, right?

Segarr - I'm guessing off-set she was talking about. I have no idea about fashion though, I wear sweat pants/jeans and a vneck basically every day of the week

she looks super healthy, her muscle are very toned and she is strong, some skinny girls don't even have muscle, you can even see her bones, not healthy at all...
