woohoo! Took me about 3 hours but I had to wait for it to dry so I could put a clear coat on. It's another Oil. It's my first black and white oil, so bare with me on the color. It's hard to believe but I think b&w is harder than color while painting. Anyway, I hope you guys like it

I've always wanted to be an artist since i was a little girl. I always wanted to do either that or saving animals. But unfortunately you gotta be REALLY fantastic or spontaneous and new in the art world, and if someone doesn't like your stuff you have no career. I'll still probably end up going to collage for art though... hopefully.

thats really cool. i am all for doing what you love. and actually animals and art have always been my passions too, although now it has become more either art or missionary work for me. i actually just finished my freshman year at art school. i go to VCU in richmond, va and it is so amazing! i completely know what you mean by the whole you have to be totally different in art or no one cares. i am much more of a traditional artist in my style, but there are a fair share of people out there that still prefer traditional. so im hoping that i can make it by in the art world. dont care much about making it big, just enough to get by
i have kind of been working on some postcard designs lately more as a hobby. i like the old designs where it is all drawn or painted so that is kind of the style of mine. everytime i go on a trip somewhere i make up my own postcard, and i would like to see if i could sell them to some company (help pay for college, hahaha) but once i get the one im working on now maybe i'll post it in the forum

thanks i haven't really tred oils yet, i have them laying around, but i admit i don't really know what i am doing when it comes to painting in general. i feel most comfortable with dry materials, but i do really need to do more practice with paint and oils specifically. i will definitely post it if i do something LOST related

Since I'm gonna be in Hawaii for 17 days this August/Sept. I figured I'm gonna have some downtime when I'm not Surfing, kayaking, hiking, scuba-diving, swimming with sharks, and most importantly finding the Lost set

Well with my downtime I'm gonna attempt to skimboard. Me being myself, I wasn't satisfied just buying a skimboard. I needed to Lost it out, like everything else I own. SO I designed this bad boy a few days ago and it took me about 10 hours to finish painting. I still need to add the clear waterproof paint for the top, but since I have 2 and a half months, I'm in no rush.
